Billy restored the car himself with a little help from friends and even painted the Challenger in his garage. It's one of the best Challengers restro's I've seen but  it's NO Trailer Queen it's driven, this Mopar commands and deserves the Maple Motors 'Show & Shine' Award.

05-17-2014 Congratulations goes to Glenn Sparks and his 1948 Chevy Coupe they are our latest Maple Motors 'Show & Shine' Award Winner. Glenn's 48 Chevy is Very Nice and it's covered in 'Plum Crazy' purple paint. The detailing is sharp inside and out and the purple color works great with the size of the coupe. It's a real eye catcher when coming on the lot at the Cruise-In. A small block powers this beast and Glenn has fun with it everywhere he goes. Thanks Glenn for bringing your 48 Chevy to the Goodlettsville Cruise In.

06-21-2014 - Congratulations to our latest Maple Motors, Show & Shine Award Winners, Matt Wilson and his 15 year old grandson Grant, they are this week recipient of the Maple Motors Sponsored Award. The car is a 1973 Plymouth Scamp, metallic brown paint with a 318 cubic inch motor, automatic, power brakes and steering plus air conditioning, original interior, 373 posi-traction rear end and dual exhaust. Matt has been a long time cruiser of the Goodlettsville Cruise In and Grandson Grant cut his teeth on the local cruise in's coming to about everyone one his grand dad or his father would take him to and yes in the little Plymouth Scamp seen here. Grant says, "it a family heirloom." This is what it's all about and Matt truly believes in "Taking a Kid to a Car Show" (SEMA) and kids like Grant are our future in collector American hot rods.

07-05-2014 - Our newest Maple Motors 'Show & Shine Award' Winner is Alanda Jones and her beautiful 1967 Chevrolet RS Camaro. Alanda and husband William located the Camaro in Florida early this year and they found a nice original Butternut Yellow Convertible and Alanda loves driving the car a lot and she is now a regular at our Goodlettsville Cruise In along with William in his Black 1967 RS/SS Hardtop Camaro they park together, visitors and regulars like to see there Camaro's looking real good sitting side by side. Williams Camaro is somewhat modified but Alanda's is a perfect example of a stock 327ci, Power Glide Automatic with factory A/C. Stop by and say hello to Amanda and William, though you may wait to see them because they are a popular couple talking about a couple of popular cars. Thanks Alanda for for coming out to the Goodlettsville Cruise In and bringing that very nice 1967 Camaro.

It's a car restores dream and I want to thank Mike for taking time to get it out and come out for the evening. This one has wow factor all over it.

08-09-2014 - Congratulation to Lynn Miller and his radically chopped & channeled 37 Olds. Lynn is a Ridgetop resident and is seen all over middle TN in this Hugger Orange painted beauty. Karl's 64 is a dark metallic gray color, black interior with buckets and console, 327 ci small block with automatic transmission pushes the beauty along. It's a great looking car and will pull you towards it's retro styling and great body lines. I don't see to many 64 and 65 Chevelle/Malibu's so having Karl Wright stop by with his was a real treat, thanks!

09-13-2014 - One of two Maple Motors Trophy Winners this evening went to Terry (Tiger) Jones and his 2013 Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Terry says Ford calls the color of his Pony, Race Red with perfectly placed White Striped Graphics and Highlights. Terry brings his Supercharged Mustang to the Cruise-In every week that him and his wife Pam come out to visit with us (oh, did I mention Pam drives a Corvette, I bet plenty of bench racing goes on in there house). Anyway this is a modern Hot Rod and has gained much respect among the automakers and brands. Here's a little about Terry's fine Roush Stage 3.

The Stage 3 Mustang is the pinnacle of the ROUSH "Stage" Mustangs. It builds off the styling from the Stage 1, the handling from the Stage 2, and adds its own piece of the pie, a supercharged 5.0L-4v power train. Yes it is a modern day Muscle Car! The Stage 3 is the supercharged 5.0L power-train version pumping out a massive 565 horsepower and 505 lb-ft of torque, more than enough power to plunge you into the back of your seat at the stab of the throttle. With the PCM calibrated by ROUSH engineers to the perfect combination of horsepower, drivability and durability. Standard chassis components include a complete suspension system and an 18-inch by 10-inch forged aluminum, five spoke, chrome ROUSH wheel wrapped in the ROUSH/Cooper ultra high-performance tires.

10-18-2014 - This week we liked to honor one our youngest cruisers. His name is Richard Rieger and most of you have probable spent a little time talking to this young man at this and other Cruise-In's around the area. His car is a very nice 1968 Mustang Fastback. Sorry my camera flash could not pick up the black exterior finish very well but it is a nice 68 driver and that leads me to a point I wish to make and that is Richard has inherited the car kind of, it has been in his family for a long time and Richard desire is to use his youth the help keep the classic car hobby alive for not only himself but for his generation. He is a good man and he will represent the hobby well with a great attitude and having a good car like this Mustang will always make him popular at the car shows. Thanks for being at the the Goodlettsville Cruise In most every week Richard!

10-25-2014 - Maple Motors, Show and Shine Award Winner #3 was Glenn Sparks and his 1978 Mustang    Cobra II. Covered in White paint and those famous Ford Blue Stripes front to back plus a clean White interior. The engine has been upgraded to a 72, 5.0 L motor with more Horse Power added, Automatic Transmission. Glenn noted that in the 70's TV Show, Charlie's Angels, Farah Fawcett drove one like his. Bo has had the car on the road for years and it see a lot of driven road for sure. With a 350 ci Chevy motor auto, air and all power make this ride a pleasure to drive. It is a Show and Shine Real Winner.

05-10-2014 Congratulation to Charlie Bryant his 1969 Camaro SS.This Camaro is Black with a White Stripe down the side (hockey stick style) and has Black Bucket Seats, Console and full instrumentation. Charlies ride is a throw back to the days of aftermarket five spoke aluminum Ion Wheels and just the right amount of engine bay chrome and polished aluminum. 07-12-2014 - Congratulations to Mark Richardson and his "Crazy" 1928 Ford Model A, this weeks Maple Motors, Show & Shine Award Winner. This ride is wicked, chopped, blown and "Bad To The Bone." Mark's fantastic 28 started life as a 2 door sedan but after getting his Model A about four years ago originality never entered his mind, he went radically toward the beauty we see today. It's a Hot Rod we are proud to make our Maple Motors,Show and Shine Winner! Mark is a Greenbrier resident so you'll see this fine ride a lot at the Cruise In. Thanks Mark we are glad you choose to spend your Saturday evening at your Goodlettsville Cruise In.

07-26-2014 - We presented the Maple Motors, Show & Shine Award to Brian & Emily Hatton of White House, TN. They drove a beautiful 1964 Rambler Classic 770 2 Door, Hard Top to the Goodlettsville Cruise In and after talking to them I found out it was there first visit so I spent some time getting acquainted with this fine couple and I think we have made another set of friends and will hopefully come back many times to visit the Cruise-In. Here's a little about this fine American made 2nd Generation (63 & 64) AMC Rambler they own. It's an off white exterior color; Brian added a subtle outlined stripe down the middle, front to back. It gave the car a nice appearance upgrade. The interior is a medium to dark turquoise color and in perfect condition. Factory air conditioning, power accessories, V-8 engine (287 cubic inch, 4.7 L) with a 3 speed automatic transmission. According to Hemmings the curb weight on the Rambler is approximately 2,650 lbs, now that’s a light vehicle. It's a perfect car to award the Show & Shine Award and I was glad to meet the Hatton's and give them this weeks Maple Motors Trophy. I might have for got to mention this but this AMC has only 17,000 original mile on it, yeah it's that nice so stop by and check it out.

08-16-2014 - Mason Barnes of Franklin, KY and his1937 Flamed Ford Coupe. One of the nicest 37's around all of these southeastern Untied States. Mason went thru the car a few years back and had the look in his head knowing what he wanted to accomplish. First the original body was smoothed and a black satin finished was applied then he went to a friend for pin stripping and those very good looking candy flames. Mason finished the car with power accessories and air conditioning we all want in our cars. Mason lets no grass grow around this beauty because all summer long he's crossing counties and states going to the next event. Mason we liked that 37 flamed coupe, thanks!

09-13-2014 - A lot of you know Elmer Jones and his wife Yvonne and this Saturday Elmer drove his 39 Ford Panel Truck down from Clarksville. It's a Dove Gray over Red color, great interior, V8 small block Chevy engine and automatic with plenty of comfort options, A/C, power accessories under the hood and windows. Elmer's truck has been a feature on GearZ TV and has won several nice awards so this night we added one more to his collection. Thanks for bringing that 1939 out Elmer and Yvonne.

09-20-2014 - Mark Penniman and his 1924 Ford Model T Touring Car. This Model T is as near a perfect restoration as any Model T I've ever seen. Mark took on this project a few years back and his attention to originality and detail is second to none. Many were around his Model T most of the night and this 1924 T was the favorite to give this weeks award to. Mark plans on visiting as many events as he can knowing the season is winding it's way into the 2014 record books and the cooler weather is giving us a fare-weather warning that Halloween is around the corner. If you get a chance to see Mark's Model T at a show take time to experience what people drove at the turn of the 20th Century and how proud they were to see one of these, much less owned one in those glory full days of the "Roaring 20's." Thanks and congratulations Mark!

10-25-2014 - Maple Motors, Show and Shine Award Winner #1 was Troy Burnett and his 1954 Ford  F-100 Pick-Up, covered in Sea Mist Blue paint, White interior and a late model 5.0 motor, C-4 Automatic Trans, Disc Brakes, 3" suspension drop & creature comfort power accessories.A great looking truck and thanks Troy for bringing that beauty to the Goodlettsville Cruise In.

10-25-2014 - Maple Motors, Show and Shine Award Winner #2 was Melinda & Chuck Pelham and there 2015 Mustang painted a Oxford White exterior and Ebony Black interior. Ultra modern comforts and that new 5.0L engine makes 430 HP & 400 ft/lb of Torque & that's normally aspirated! It also came with the 50th Anniversary, Appearance Package. The Pelhams had picked up the new Mustang that very morning and Melinda was all smiles while Chuck was answering question from admirers of there new ride. You most weeks would have seen them in the 90's Mustang they own but today was special and what a better way to show we appreciate them being at the Goodlettsville Cruise In week after week. A great couple indeed and thanks for adding some flare to the Goodlettsville Cruise In.

11-01-2014 Trunk or Treat Party and Maple Motors, Show and Shine Award Winner #1. First off don't you think Eddie looks good here in this picture? Me either but this day we honor Eddie and his beautiful wife Sara Rochelle and there very cool 51 Mercury, Chopped covered in Black paint and colorful Flames. In the sunlight the multi colored metallic flakes add another wow factor dimension to the exterior Black paint. Eddie and Sara have brought out some nice cars this year and we thank them all kidding aside for being at the Goodlettsville Cruise In.

11-01-2014 Trunk or Treat Party and Maple Motors, Show and Shine Award Winner #3. Our last Maple Motors Show and Shine Award Winners were Tim and Linda McKnight and there 1970 El Camino. It’s a very nice and extremely clean car. Powered with Big Block cubes and  a 5 speed transmission that makes this beauty a comfortable ride on the highway with the lower RPM’s thanks to that manual 5 speed gearbox. It’s a very desirable El Camino and it was great to give the McKnight's the last Award this day, November 1st, 2014. Sure appreciate seeing you both at the Goodlettsville Cruise In.
